Because it's Thursday And I'm super tired of having my own picture taken All the time And I might or might not have attacked Lincoln At the throat where he has a mysterious bite mark (Lincoln is such a baby) So I'm in trouble. And I have a little "pug acne" going on.... I've decided to show two of my favorite videos of pugs ever!
Personally I think these pugs, one of whom shares my name, are pretty dang good. I promise this Minnie pug dog is not me. She has more curves than I do.
The second reminds me of Lincoln. It is a "Pug Soccer Team" Lincoln was totally carrying around that giant tennis ball yesterday in his mouth. He's like super duper amazing when it comes to strength. Mom said he should try out for a pug version of Air Bud.
Maybe tomorrow I will feel like having my picture taken. Maybe not.
If you got a Christmas card from us, it looked like this....
We look super well behaved and angelic. Don't believe for a second Lincoln and I posed without a fight. Take here for instance. Lincoln refused to SIT in the box. Why? Lincoln just likes to always be "ready" to run.
Or here, when Lincoln and I were obviously conspiring to get out of the box. Yo, Linky, you jump first!
Notice, I'm sitting the entire time. I'm the model dog. It's obvious. Lincoln was thinking about the many treats he deserved for getting in the box.
Hopefully, none of you had to sit in a box waiting on your brother to behave. I deserved extra cookies for this photo shoot!
This picture sums up my weekend. I watched Grandma decorate the tree. Some things just fascinate a pug. Other than that I had no real interest in the tree. Which surprised my mama. Especially since I didn't try to eat the tree. Guess for once something didn't look tasty. Lincoln didn't even lift his leg. He MARKS everything. He likes people to know he has stuff now that he's not homeless.
Here I am chewing on my Mom's finger. As evidenced by my past posts, I will eat pretty much everything. Batteries, ant traps, textbooks, concrete, ect. But you want to know something I really love?! COOKIES. Mom says the only two words I know are Minnie and cookies. Sometimes I pretend to not know Minnie. When I do this, Mom will yell "cookies" and then I will come running. I could totally accept my name as "cookies." But then I would think I was getting a treat all the time.
Hi, I'm Lincoln and I LOVE this pink ball. I am so obsessed with it, sometimes Mom has to hide it from me. I carry it everywhere and want it by me at all times. I've even tried to sleep with it.
Minnie can't really pick it up because she's too small But just because I LOVE it so much, she tries to steal it. And because she can't steal it, she beats me up. This causes Mom to stomp her feet and hide the pink ball.
By the way I believe that pink can be a very manly color. I don't care what Minnie says, real pug boys love pink. I'm evolved.
Mama was out of town for Thanksgiving, so Minnie and I spent the week with Grandma. Which is always pretty awesome because Uncle Travis lives there and he feeds us whatever we want. Oh and we get to go on walks, lots and lots of walks. The reason I get to blog today is because I got a good report from Grandma. Lincoln = Angel. Minnie was banished to the basement bedroom during the Thanksgiving meal. Mostly because she wouldn't shut up. She had something to say about everything. So here I am getting my Thanksgiving treat (of course Minnie got one too, but in the basement with Uncle Travis). There is no food on the plate because I ate it so fast. I got sweet potatoes, turkey and green beans. THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER.
And here I am with Aunt Carol. She has cancer. Grandma thinks I know that and that is why I always sit with her. I am very much the "comforter" of the family.
I always cuddle with whoever is sick or sad. Do any of you always seek out the sick person to comfort?
So overall it was a great holiday for me. I had a vacation at Grandma's house. I went on lots of walks. Ate leftovers and got to see my Aunt Carol. Hope everyone else had a great holiday too.
Technically, it is Tuesday but Mama says it is still feels like a Monday.
Maybe because Lincoln puked all over the bed yesterday.
Or maybe because this morning she found pee in the bed and I'm getting blamed.
I love that bed.
I would never....
Except maybe I was a little mad that I got locked up.
And that there were strangers in my house that Mama wouldn't let me bark at.
Well I tried to bark and that's when she shut me up in her room.
And then the mysterious yellow stain appeared on the bed.
Lincoln ain't talking either...
I had to go to the vet this past week. I've gained a pound. Mama is calling me a "chubby bunny." I'm a whooping 13 pounds now. Excuse me, but that still puts me on the small scale of being a pug. And seriously... it's not my fault that Lincoln has the metabolism of a greyhound.
Last year I didn't do so hot with the trick and treat part of Halloween. In my defense, dressed up kids are scary. However, after this past weekend, when Mom had guests that I did not STOP barking at for three days... and she threatened to send me away.... I tried to turn on a little bit of charm. Lincoln of course turned the charm up to full max. He greeted each child at the door with a pug tail wag and a kiss.
Here he is getting all the attention.
Here I am with Mom. I had to sit on the steps. I only barked at one kid. He was dressed a creepy serial killer though. He totally deserved the barking.
And it's ridiculous I can't bark when the doorbell is ringing And there is lots of tiny strangers in my house. I think my face expression says it all. Nuff said on this topic!
I'm an excellent guard dog. I can sit outside without a leash And just watch the world go by. Sometimes I really want to go greet people on the sidewalk. But I try hard. Harder than Minnie ever would. Minnie gets distracted by the falling leaves. Not me.
Ya know the phrase "jailbird?!" Well, we kind of became "jail-dogs" this weekend. Mom was out of town, so we went to Grandma's house. I may or may not have pooped right in front of her on her nice carpet. After she took me on a 45 minute walk. I reserve the right to remain silent and only talk to my attorney.
Why does Lincoln have to wear one of these? Guilt by association.
Mom got home last night, think she's gonna bust us out of jail?!
Linky and I had the perfect fall weekend. We went out for lots of walks in the warm weather. We met up with Chloe again for "Picnic with the Pups" event that benefits animal welfare. We napped while everyone else watched football... And they we got to pose next to these pumpkins for a really yummy treat.
