Thankful Thursday

Because it's Tuesday and I don't feel like giving anyone the evil eye.
And the storms are finally over in Kentucky.
I just wanted to mention a couple of things I'm thankful for...

I am thankful for my brother, Lincoln
Because he keeps me warm.
I'm thankful that today as a special treat
I got a small (very small) bite of a Wendy's Junior Bacon Cheeseburger
And then I died and went to heaven a very happy pug.
Then I woke up and looked for more bites.

I'm thankful that Lincoln let's me stick my butt right in his face.
And let's me bite him
And never steals my food.

I'm thankful that Lincoln and I have new harnesses.
Since we puked on other ones.
And they smelled even after they were washed.
Or one of us puked and somehow it got all over both of us.
So I guess I'm thankful Mom didn't ship us away right then and there.

Did I mention how thankful I am for my brother, Lincoln?
He really is the best snuggler.

Have a wonderful Thursday
And be thankful
For something or everything.

Barking up a storm

You wanna know why we are soooooo tired?
Because it's Spring.
Spring in Kentucky this year has equaled constant storms.
Storms, meaning rain, lightening, hail and even tornadoes.
That's not even the worst part.
No one knew this but Lincoln doesn't enjoy a good ole' storm.
In fact, they make him anxious.
So anxious that he barks every single time it thunders.
Which causes me to bark.

Which keeps us up at night.
Which keeps Mom up at night.
And Grandma when we stay with her.
So if someone could kindly explain to Lincoln
that thunder does not equal end of the world,
that would be great.

Because I'm especially tired from barking all night to keep up with Lincoln's barking.
Mom says if we keep barking we have to find new homes.
Psh, I'm adorable, that shouldn't be too hard.
I just don't want to have to pack that closet full of clothes.
And I kind of enjoy cuddling with my Mom at night.

Luggage

Mom went away again. I tried to pack myself in her luggage

I hoped to be a castaway

How could she leave this face anyway!?

Unfortunately she "unpacked" me.

Happy Monday!

Separation Anxiety

{Forgive the blurry picture. It was taken with a cellphone}

The phrase "separation anxiety" is thrown around a lot with my name...

But I'm just waiting on Mom....

Sharing

Minnie believes the best spot in the house is...

wherever I am

Really? Can a dude not have his own space?

You know you have a perfectly good bed right next to mine

Whatever, I can share.

Sincerely,

Lincoln

Pure Happiness

Happiness is...

having your mom home after she has been gone forever...

and a good belly rub.

Yep, that's the spot....

Hope you find happiness in the small things today.
Sincerely,
Lincoln

Whatchu Lookin' At?

When Lincoln won't play with me...

I play by myself and remember the good ole' days when I was an only child

Excuse me? Whatchu lookin' at?

Mostly I play with my ball, which is a mini tennis ball

It magically moves sometimes

Lincoln says I'm hitting it with my clumsy paws but I say it's magic

Best game ever!

Sincerely,

The Minnie Moo Monster

Never innocent

I'm sorry but it wasn't obvious to me that the itouch was off limits.
Yes, it was on the kitchen table where supposedly I am forbidden to go.
But in my defense you were in the shower and you did forget to put up the baby gate.
We all know, only Lincoln can jump the baby gate.
You tempted me.
The itouch tempted me with its tasty earbuds just lying there begging me to chew on them.

Nom, nom, nom. Pure yumminess.

Guess who is in trouble again?!

Sincerely,
Never innocent Minnie Moo

Rain Rain Go Away

I've spoken before about how much I dislike weather extremes. Snow, rain and heat. Ya know, those crazy weather extremes that either leave me melting or freezing. That cause me to "donkey" up and refuse to walk another step unless I'm carried.

The rain was here yesterday...so Mom put the raincoat on me to persuade me to go out. Except my paws still got wet. And I had to contend with bottomless dark pools of water. Like a good girl I did my business and was ready to go back in.

Except Lincoln needed to find the perfect spot. In pouring down rain and thunder, he still sniffed and peed on everything. Sigh.

At least I looked cute and my head was dry. But cute raincoat or not, I still don't love the rain. Forget spring showers, I'm ready for sunshine.
