On Saturday, Lincoln, Mommy, Daddy and I went to Pugtoberfest hosted by the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue. This is the organization that brought Lincoln and I together. Mommy looked and looked forever at the pugs on the website before she decided to foster. One of the pugs she wanted to adopt very badly before she fostered and adopted Lincoln was Edward. Edward is only a year old but was bred by a bad puppy mill breeder and his back legs don't work very well. Here is Lincoln giving him kisses through his cage....
Here are some of the other foster pugs that need to be adopted. They made my Mommy and Daddy very sad. I'm so glad we decided to keep Lincoln. Most of the foster pug parents already have lots of pugs or they would keep these guys too. The two in the red scarves are brother and sister, Phoebe and Jake. Their original owner got brain cancer....they were pretty awesome pugs.
On a non-depressing note, here is my Mommy and I hanging out.....I had my cheer leading outfit on, I had to look my cutest for everyone.
I spent a lot of time making sure everything was running smoothly...
A picture of some of the raffle stuff they were giving away...
Daddy and Lincoln chilling, waiting on the big Pug Race to start....
This picture is kind of hard to see, but Daddy is holding Lincoln at one end of the race and Mommy and me are at the other...Daddy is in the blue baseball hat backwards...
We all thought this would be Lincoln's kind of contest, he is an Olympian, constantly out running the other dogs at the park. However, Lincoln came in second to last. He kind of pranced and skipped through the race. The only pug he beat was one that didn't even bother to finish...We were proud of Lincoln anyway.
While Lincoln and I knew we could win a costume contest, we were pretty beat and decided to hit the road instead of anymore contests. For lunch we went through Sonic. Lincoln helped Daddy order....
Unfortunately, Daddy only ordered a banana for Lincoln and I to share. Where were the fries? Milkshakes and burgers?! I was too exhausted on the way home to argue much though...
What fun it looks like you had. We never hear about these things happening close to our home (Silicon Valley). Maybe as we make our way through the pug groups in the Bay Area we will discover more and more groups.
