I have very very VERY exciting news!!!!!! Wait for it......
Lincoln gets to live with us forever and ever. We are a real family now! Mommy wasn't so sure at first, having two pugs can be a handful but I just got too upset anytime he wasn't around. I mean who would comfort him at night when he cries in his sleep? Who is going to make sure he stops biting himself? And who would I play with?
At first I was not so sure about sharing my mommy and daddy. He gets a little sideways sometimes too but he's my sideways brother.

So, I, Minnie "the great" found these delicious things called N-Bones when I went to Florida on a big plane with my grandma.
I let Lincoln get to the box first. No one had ever sent him a package before. Grandma sends me stuff all the time from Florida.
Finally the box was opened...
We were pretty excited. I had told Lincoln all about how awesome these edible bones were. They are wheat free and all natural. (I have no idea what that means, I just know that my tummy doesn't hurt after I eat one)
Lincoln got pretty excited. He acted like no one had ever given him a bone before.
Lincoln ran away with his bone and ate it as fast as he could.
I savored mine for a very long time...

Lincoln has an Elvis look about him. Well, I guess it is more of a face. Not as talented as the faces I can make but it sure makes people stop and pet him. See his snarl?
Thank ya, Thank ya very much
Maybe Lincoln will become a big Hollywood movie star with me...

First, Lincoln has the need to mark everything. I think that is some kind of "boy" issue. While mommy is pretty understanding, grandma is not. Therefore, Lincoln has to wear a masculinity hider or as daddy calls it, a banana hammock, anytime we visit somewhere. Lincoln is a little embarrassed about this, so forgive the only picture of his special belt.
Second, Lincoln bites himself. Like all the time. The whole back side of him is covered with scars and bites. I think it is like biting your fingernails for him...but then it started getting serious.
So first he had to wear a cone....but it was just too big.
Then he went to the vet. I thought he was gone forever when they took him. I had no idea how jealous...errr...I mean sad, I would be when he got to go somewhere that I didn't. Lincoln promised me that he did not have any fun while he was away. In fact he sat next to the door in the vet room. He was probably looking for me.
Anyway, the short of it is, that Lincoln has some skin infection and possibly little bugs eating him. The vet said these bugs only attack you when you're really down in the dumps, that they don't attack spoiled pugs like me. But it's okay, he's taking some medicine (he gets extra treats!) and he had lots of shots. Don't tell anyone, but I feel kind of sorry for him.

As you can see, I have the original funny face. I think I will look into being a movie star. How hard can it really be? I obviously already have the face part down. Hollywood, here I come!

Lincoln can fall asleep sitting up.
But when it comes to sleepy time at night, Lincoln can not sleep. Mommy says he's just anxious but I don't understand why he has to get up all night.
I'm going to try and help Lincoln not be so anxious all the time. We are gonna have us a talk.

There is a huge pug rescue organization in Kentucky called the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue (http://www.kentuckianapugs.com/). My mom became obsessed with it after I arrived as a Christmas present. So on a spur of a moment decision, she decided to sign up to be a foster mommy. The website said it would take at least two weeks for someone to get back to you, so she did not think she would even hear about her application for awhile. Someone called that afternoon to set up a home visit. I had no idea that any of this was happening, only that a very nice lady who loved pugs and me, in particular, came over to hang out. Then last week, when mommy had a sinus infection (from you know where)the pug rescue lady e-mailed to say they had a pug in need of a home fast! The picture above is of, Lincoln, the foster pug. Lincoln (named by daddy) was found wandering the streets of a little town with no name or known history. Doesn't he look sad? And more than sad, he is skinny! A skinny pug is an oxymoron. At first things were cool, because I had a playmate...but he's a nervous wreck. He wakes up me all night because he starts crying for no reason. He also is bigger than me, so he always beats me to the door to welcome mommy home! Saying all that, I have never had so much fun playing before in my life. Pugs really are the only dogs that know how to have a good time! And shhhh --- he's not too bad to cuddle with either :)

Hi, I'm Minnie and I'm taking a minute, a couple of days a week to either post some pictures and/or tell you about my adventures. Here I am...I'm not very big yet because I'm only 9 months old.
I live in really hot or really cold (depending on the season)
I like to think they are my real parents, it is very difficult for me to accept I'm a pug and not a human princess. We can debate whether I am just a "dog" later. So I live a pretty charmed life, being doted on, followed by the paparazzi (seriously, it seems like people will run out in front of moving cars to take my picture) and sleeping in a big ole king bed every night. Then my mother ("mother" is reserved for times when she is in trouble) decided to foster pugs. Which is fine because I have never met a dog or human I didn't immediately love...but....maybe I should start from the beginning....(more to come on the "foster" brother later)
