The Foster Pug

There is a huge pug rescue organization in Kentucky called the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue (http://www.kentuckianapugs.com/). My mom became obsessed with it after I arrived as a Christmas present. So on a spur of a moment decision, she decided to sign up to be a foster mommy. The website said it would take at least two weeks for someone to get back to you, so she did not think she would even hear about her application for awhile. Someone called that afternoon to set up a home visit. I had no idea that any of this was happening, only that a very nice lady who loved pugs and me, in particular, came over to hang out. Then last week, when mommy had a sinus infection (from you know where)the pug rescue lady e-mailed to say they had a pug in need of a home fast! The picture above is of, Lincoln, the foster pug. Lincoln (named by daddy) was found wandering the streets of a little town with no name or known history. Doesn't he look sad? And more than sad, he is skinny! A skinny pug is an oxymoron. At first things were cool, because I had a playmate...but he's a nervous wreck. He wakes up me all night because he starts crying for no reason. He also is bigger than me, so he always beats me to the door to welcome mommy home! Saying all that, I have never had so much fun playing before in my life. Pugs really are the only dogs that know how to have a good time! And shhhh --- he's not too bad to cuddle with either :)

  1. Nice to meet you Minnie. Thanks for stopping by our blog - sorry that we made your momma want to get another puppy. (FYI to your momma - KPR is expecting a litter of puppies any day from their rescued momma Chyna)

Lincoln is so sweet - he does look very sad in that picture. Hopefully he will have his furever home in no time.

  2. Hi Minnie! Nice to meet you. I hope Lincoln calms down. He probably doesn't know what to make of everything, first starving, now getting food and loving. You will have to cuddle him a lot to get him to relax.

Take care of Lincoln and we'll be seeing you.

PS Oh yeah, my mom has the same towel as in your profile photo! lol

  5. Be a foster mommy! My human is one but so far we've been having a lot of puggies go home so she takes us to the Florida Pug events and help puggies there. We help her too. We go out and pick out a toy to help donate some pug monies. Then we go on puggy marathons for those helpless pugs. Tell your human that we are so proud of her!
And thank you so much for the lovely comment! It is just so rejuvenating to hear from other pugs!
