Passive Aggressive

Today I'm going to talk about pugs who are passive aggressive. Passive aggressive behavior for those who don't know is when you avoid direct confrontation but instead indirectly show someone else who is boss. As for me, I'm not very passive aggressive, I typically snort and destroy things right in front of people. Hey I'm pretty, the humans will eventually get over it.

Now my brother Lincoln is passive aggressive. Maybe he doesn't want to upset anyone outright but really feels the need to still stand up for himself. Or maybe he's not as brave as me. Whatever the case is, Lincoln passively aggressively poops in people's yards that have upset him.

Take for example someone in my grandma's neighborhood that was especially mean to my Mama. One day Lincoln, Mom and I were totally taking this great walk around the neighborhood when this mean man started yelling that Lincoln was peeing on part of his yard. Except Lincoln wasn't, Lincoln was totally peeing on neighborhood property that the neighborhood association mows. And dude, it's just pee, Mom carries little scented bags for the other stuff.

Now every time we walk by that mean man's house, Lincoln poops right in the middle of his yard. Always. He saves it for an entire walk until we get to that house. Mom says he is totally being passive aggressive. He does the same thing to the house where the "rouge cat" that tried to take my eyes out lives. No other house, just that one. Well he does make sure that cat isn't watching, Lincoln is respectful when it comes to a cat's space. But that doesn't stop him from being a passive aggressive older brother.

Despite what anyone else thinks, I kind of like Lincoln's small outbursts of aggression. Maybe there is hope for him yet into being more of an Alpha and less of a sissy.

  1. Minnie, I am like you and don't care about showing my feelings in front of anyone around.
Go Lincoln! Your outbursts are totally called for if you ask me. What a good son and brother you are sticking up for your family!
PS. Minnie, I tried to email you via Blogger, but others didn't get the message, so would you please email me (address link is on my profile page) when you get a chance?

  2. Go Lincoln! Y'know, the mean guy told you not to *pee* on his grass, right? He never mentioned poop. Technically it's his fault.

Also anyone that is mean to my fur-riends should get their precious lawn pooped on.

    -Love, Sid.

  3. Linky's sticking up for you Minnie and saying "pfft" to that nasty ol cat (and that meany old guy). xoxo

  4. We like Lincoln's passive aggressiveness... in many ways, he understands the politics of the world.

  5. Hey Minnie,
First of all, love the photo of you. Who could resist that face?
Second I totally get where you are coming from. I am kinda out there as well and rely on my looks to keep me outta trouble. My sisteroid Sunshine the Cat, though is a whole 'nother story. If she gets mad at someone, that someone is likely to find poop near their favorite chair or pee on their school bag. We all know to BEWARE if the cat is peeved cuz she will retaliate.
    Love Noodles

  6. Hey Lincoln,
Whenever my sister Mochi the bully is mean to me I pee in her bowl. heehee
Just her bowl. I leave mine and my brother Macho's alone.

  7. Lincoln is letting them know he's unhappy without being overly rude or aggressive. He still gets his point across. It takes a big pug to calmly walk away from things and then get even later!! ;)

  8. Hmmmm guess we're like Lincoln

  9. Isabelle is passive agressive, Tallulah and Petunia are just aggressive. Isabelle pulls stuffies out of the toy box to pee on them. That's how she gets back at T and P.

  10. HAHAHAHA! Way to go Linky!! We hope that mom aids in the P.A. behavior and "forgets" to reload the scented bags before your walk.

There used to be this jerky family in our 'hood that had a sign in the ground with a pic of a pooping dog that said "NO!" on it. I took that as an invitation to drop a steaming deuce right on his lawn! Mom DID pick it up, but it happened to be trash day so mom dumped the bag in their newly emptied trash can.

    They moved away. Good riddance.

    Keep up the good work!

  11. Go Linky Go!!!! What a great brother you have there Minnie. Wanna trade?
